Hello everyone. I have very sad news: Liberty - Heart of the Kingdom will now be marked as discontinued.
I've been away from game development for a while due to financial matters and other stuff that I had absolutely no time to inform everyone about the game's progress. I sincerely apologize for that, and to compensate for that, I will leave the HotK download area available for everyone to grab the last version of the game I gave my heart and soul into since it was the biggest game I've made since Eternal Eclipse. I pray that this game gives inspiration to those who would play them.
I'm currently working for another game developer, which means I can no longer focus on HotK. But I am having some thoughts of making a new game alongside this one, but that might take a while to fully conceptualize.
Once again, I apologize for the late entry and the sad news and thank you for supporting Liberty - Heart of the Kingdom until today.
Your RL matters is more important than this hobby which doesn't even produce money. I'm the same. Good luck! And I envy you since you already worked in a game development company. >w<

1. For which Game developer does you work? And on which Game?
2. Where can I find Eternal Eclipse?
3. How far does Liberty Go? Until what point? And did you already knew how the Story would continue? = o
4. If you won´t work on that Game anymore, do you think someone else could continue working on it and finishing it? I saw that Pizzacat is really good herself and her stile seems to be quite similar to yours sooo perhaps? All you would need to do would be to tell Pizzacat "How" the story would continue until the end and all she would have to do would be Designing and drawing around the Story = o
This way Liberty "could" get still finished! Wouldn´t that be really great? = D
and my last and most important question:
5. Since I was 9 years old (now 22) I always loved writing Fantasy Storys and with all modesty I can say that I feel quite confident doing so.
And so I wanted to ask, although I doubt you would really let me but . . . I would really like to write your Game down as a Story to Read (and if I find someone that can draw maybe even as Manga) And perhaps I could even continue the Story after it´s end = o
I know you will say no anyway but your Game was just SO awesome that I really dreamed of getting your permission to Write it as an Fantasy Story and show it to everyone else . . . Of course I wouldn´t change anything that you created! I would never Do something like that! Since This Game / Story represents your very own Fantasy and your own Ideas! o.0 I would just Write as a Book what you already did in the Game and then Perhaps make an Continuation for the Story = )
I would really appreciate your permission to do so and who knows?
If it gets popular maybe I could publish it as an offizial book in a book store,
(Well OF COURSE if it ever gets so far I would part a bigger Part of the earnings to you, like 80% for you and 20% for me XD)
Ähh, so you see . . . I have High aims that I wanna achieve! And I would be glad to add your Story to the ones I already did.
Well I am still a greenhorn at the way high up, but I want to be a "Knight of the Pen"! And I won´t give up until I reach my goal! = ) So I guarantee that if you allow me to write your story it will be in good hands!
And since the property Rights of the Story belong to you, you will always have the controll over my work on it. This way you wouldn´t have to fear that i Might steal or Change your story! I mean, without your allowance I couldn´t Write the story anyway since the "Copy Rights" protect your Work.
So like I said before, I would really appreciate this unice opportunity!

Hey, I was just pondering over my past works and I just saw your reply. This is my new Google account by the way.
DeleteAnyway, I'd love to answer as much as I can.
1. The developer I'm working for asked for strict privacy, so I can't really answer that. But do know that I haven't given up on making games. Even as I work for my current contractor, I also have some blueprints of games I'm planning to make.
2. Eternal Eclipse is long lost in time. It was only a short time due to copyright issues. There is no existing copy to it (if anyone else has it, I'll shave my armpits barehanded).
3. Up to the very end of the story, including two sequels and a prequel. I've figured out most of the interesting parts, like plot twists and secrets and such. But I get missed out on the middle parts a lot. You can send me an e-mail if you want to know how it goes.
4. Well, I consider the games I make are part of my own copyrights. It's really hard to let go since they are like my children that I've put effort into giving birth and raising. (hardcore programmer here). That's why I still have the supposed latest copy of Liberty which includes an incomplete Chapter 5.
5. I, too, am a writer. That explains how I can come up with stories, backgrounds, profiles in an instant. I'd love to see how Liberty will be taken as a literary piece. If you're still willing to write down Liberty into book form, just let me know and we can talk.
